Last weekend was a busy one, Nick’s boss Kate was in town, so we joined Luca, Anna, Kate and her daughter for dinner in Boccadasee. We had a really nice time, we started with fried anchovies and I had a delicious ravioli dish with a pine nut sauce and finished it off with some panna cotta!
On Saturday we had plans to attend the Genoa vs Juventus football game. Juventus is currently number one in the Italy so we knew it would be a good game. While Nick says that Genoa did not play well, this game was a lot more exciting than the one I went to a couple weeks ago. I am officially a Genoa fan, I even have the scarf to prove it 😉

Monday night due to Kate being in town we had a mini villa party. Rather than trying to take 20 some people out to dinner, Cristina and Lucia cooked some wonderful food and we drank some delicious wine, a couple bottles compliments of Silvia’s husband Mark! That man never disappoints with the wine!
Tuesday’s day trip took us back to Como, and while the weather was amazing, we actually didn’t get to spend much time there due to a crazy bus driver. What should have taken us two and a half hours to get there took four, as he kept getting lost. I am still trying to figure out what the purpose if his GPS was… We did see all the architecture that was listed on the schedule, but due to our lack of time missed out on time spent by the lake. Oh well, maybe Nick and I will try to make a weekend trip back… But I only realize more and more everyday that we are running out of time!
Lake Como is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been…try to get back with Nick on your own!
