I am thrilled to report that “a broad abroad” will become active once again NEXT WEEK.  Hard to believe that I made my screen saver the below many months ago, but Spain is finally the light at the end of my tunnel.  Just a couple of big projects to push through, and a quick overnight trip for Nick out of state this weekend, and next Thursday we will be boarding a plane for the flight to Munich and then after a short stop over will be headed to Madrid.  Madrid is not a city that we were able to visit while living abroad and we are both very much looking forward to it.  Churros here we come!

Once we land in Madrid we have a fun evening planned, but then take off early the next morning for Tenerife in the Canary Islands.  Nick found the nicest looking AirBnB which sits on a cliff overlooking the sea.  We are both very much looking forward to some relaxation before heading back to Madrid for a couple days full of site seeing.  I think that we learned from our last European whirlwind tour and just have a couple of items on our itinerary, but otherwise just plan to take things as them come about.  It’s going to be hard for the planner in me, but I am just looking forward to some time away together.
